I have spent a third of my life living outside of the United States (Sri Lanka, India, France and Bosnia and Herzegovina) and enjoy working alongside the South Asian and Balkan diaspora due to living in both regions for significant stretches of time. I speak French fluently, with intermediate knowledge of Bosnian and Sinhala languages. I am honored to have been a Fulbright Senior Scholar (University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, 2019-2020).
I’m very passionate about working alongside other helping professionals (therapists, doctors, caregivers) to address the effects of secondary and vicarious trauma and promote vicarious resilience and well-being. I've found that bringing some of my key personality traits, such as lightness and humor, into my sessions has helped facilitate growth and healing in many of my clients, especially those who have experienced complex trauma.
